Filmmaker, screenwriter and cultural administrator R Sarath, known for films such as Sayahnam, Sthithi and Sheelavathi, died at the age of 65 in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, September 7. He was undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments at KIMS Hospital.
